I really, really wanted to order this bag. Amazon had it on a special Christmas deal for 30% off the regular price. But, I dithered.
J. Glick had written in her review that she received a Marigold Bag with Purple (she and I hate purple) stitching. She also received a bag with wrinkled leather, but the picture showed smooth. Would I get wrinkled leather? Wrinkled leather I could tolerate probably. Would I get purple stitching? The beautiful Marigold bag would definitely have to be returned if it had PURPLE STITCHING.
I dithered for a day. 3 were left. 2 were left. 1 was left.
I could not stand it. I would take the chance. I ordered it two days ago.
This afternoon it arrived.
The Leather on the purse is SMOOTH.
THE STITCHING IS YELLOW!
In addition to being thrilled at the Yellowness of my Bag, let me say this, I usually like to order Dooney and Bourke Bags because they are so smart and stylish. But this bag has everything a Dooney Bag has and More. I have received more compliments on it than I can number.
The bottom of the bag is 101/4 inches long with the opening at the top being 14 inches.
The height is 12 inches.
The width is 43/4 inches.
The drop level of the straps is 12 inches.
I find it to be very well proportioned and easy to carry.
The top of the bag has a zipper opening. Inside are a. on one side: 2 pockets of cell phone size, and 2 pencil holding pockets. On the other side are two larger pockets to hold coins, water bottle, or whatever you care to drop in them.
On the side of the bag is a leather pocket that comes about two thirds of the way up the purse. It is closed with a magnet that is so strong that you can hear it snap together after you have looked in that pocket. You KNOW that pocket is closed. There are also two lining pockets in this opening. I carry my cell phone in one and change in the other.
The leather has been wonderfully treated and is ever so soft. It is smooth and shiney with no wrinkles or disfigurement. It is a georgeous bag!!! If it goes on sale again this winter, I will definitely buy it in another color. It is my favorite purse in spite of the Dooneys I have!
I see that all the reviews written on the bag were for the Marigold one. Other colors remain. I love this bag and think you will also. Give it a whirl.

I love the design of Hobo International bags, and I especially love their marigold leather. This bag is nice and big and holds all of my stuff. I can even slide my ipad into the outer pocket. However, the bag pictured is yellow with yellow stitching. The bag I received is yellow with BRIGHT PURPLE stitching. What the? Of all the colors in the world, the one I can't stand is purple. Also, the bag in the picture looks soft and smooth and elegant. The bag I have is wrinkly and casual. Not sure that I will keep it.

Hobo bags have a lovely quality, but it's always hard to find the full line in stores. I wanted something appropriate for the fall to replace my favorite yellow Hobo, so this one jumped out at me. I did a lot of online searching, and this was the only one I saw in this color in this style. Love it. The inside is orange - which is fabulous. I hate bags with black interiors, as it's hard enough to find things on the bottom. This one has lovely styling and the straps are a great length for a shoulder bag. Will definitely see me through till spring.
